Loss of Jerusalem and the Third Crusade

The subsequent fall of Jerusalem in essence ended the first Kingdom of Jerusalem. Capturing the city has shaken Europe, leading to the Third Crusades, which began in 1189, led by Richard the Lionheart and Philip Augustus (Frederick Barbarossa died on the way).
In 1192, Richard the Lionheart was a mediator in the future made in the agreement, under which the margrave Konrad Monferratsky became King of Jerusalem and Guy de Luzinyanu was granted Cyprus. In the same year, Conrad fell from the hands of assassins in the dash.
